I contributed to and later led product development efforts across PurseN’s travel accessories line.
My role included trend research, concept development, and selecting colorways, prints, fabrics, and hardware for future collections.
I also supported the technical side of production by creating instruction manuals, updating tech packs, and coordinating directly with manufacturers throughout the production process.
One standout project was the LittBag Organizer — an evolution of PurseN’s best-selling Handbag Organizer. The goal was to improve functionality while maintaining a sleek, stylish profile. Through competitive research and user testing, we identified opportunities to increase storage and versatility without adding bulk.
After multiple design iterations, we arrived at a solution that balanced thoughtful problem-solving with user-centered design, resulting in a product that was both innovative and well-loved by customers.Role: Product Design & Development

The Final Product
KEY IMPROVEMENTS
To modernize and elevate the original handbag insert, we implemented several thoughtful design upgrades that prioritized both function and aesthetics. We replaced the traditional straight-across front pocket with a crossed-pocket layout, which not only improved access but also added three additional compartments for better organization.
The interior side pockets, originally made from solid fabric, were redesigned using clear materials to provide better visibility of stored items — making it easier to locate essentials at a glance.
To improve usability, we added a zippered top to keep contents secure, along with sturdy top handles for a smoother transfer between handbags.
As the final touch, we introduced a patented, built-in LED light. This clever feature made it easier to see inside the bag in low-light settings and helped the Littbag
Organizer stand out as a truly innovative product.

Differentiating Feature: Patented built-in LED light designed to solve low-light usability issues in everyday carry.
To further enhance functionality, we incorporated a patented built-in LED light into the Littbag Organizer — a standout detail that set the product apart.
Designed for better visibility in low-light settings, the light made it easier to find items at any time of day, whether in a dimly lit room, car, or restaurant.
The final design featured two bright LEDs . It included a raised on/off button for easy manual use, along with an automatic 60-second shutoff to preserve battery life.
The compact light was seamlessly integrated into the bag’s interior — balancing innovation with practicality.

The LittBag Organizer went on to receive major recognition, including being featured on Oprah’s Favorite Things.
